No your eyes are not playing tricks on you. The Kawartha Lake Cottage by  UUfie in Bolsover, Ontario rocks your mind with a mirrored exterior. When the only thing shielding you from a Canadian snow fall is a windowed wall and even the ceiling reflects the outside inside you get the feeling a day in front of the fireplace as far as you want to hike today. Textured elements run across the vaulted bedroom ceilings like the icing on a cake. And suddenly the space gets a lot more cozy tucked up in that quiet nook. Peek-a-boo box windows, tree rounds pressed into the floor, and a raw staircase all contribute to such a cottage with a character all its own.

I find a way to fearlessly provoke your senses and take you by the heart to whatever it is I’m writing about. My sweet spot is creative writing, but for the last 20 years I have been providing freelance content for publications on sustainability and green practices, design, architecture, fashion, and non-profit charity. Recently all wrapped up in producing my first book. I have bounced from NYC to Indianapolis, but my true home is a lovely small town in Central Pennsylvania where there’s a legit drive-your-tractor-to-school-day.
