Co-founded by Léa Behr and Nicolas Hoang, who have a background in arts, crafts, architecture, and graphic design, the Montreal-based design studio Léa & Nicolas makes stoneware objects and sculptures that effortlessly combine aspects from all of these disciplines. Their ceramic collection is a great example. Inspired by architectural principles, the products also reference the bold features of effective graphic design. The studio uses red stoneware and a coil technique to craft each object. Minimalist and elegant as well as beautifully tactile, the items boast raw or glazed finishes. Other products feature textured surfaces with either a rough or sanded finish.
The collection includes a wide range of products for the modern home. Apart from the first designs, a coffee dripper, double-walled bowl, and cups, the line also includes more recent additions. From floor lighting and pendant lights to vases, carafes, and Japanese-inspired teapots, this ceramic collection is as elegant as it is practical. Every item aims to bring more harmony to the everyday and to offer a tactile dimension to kitchen and home accessories.
