LEFF Amsterdam’s Cordura Watch

The brand’s popular timepiece, now with an extra-tough Cordura strap.

Designed in 2015 by Piet Hein Eek for LEFF Amsterdam, the Tube series of watches and clocks revolutionized the classic timepiece aesthetic. The collection also perfectly illustrated the concept behind the brand’s motto. It may be that “Nobody really needs a clock”, but it’s hard to resist when it looks like this. Fast forward to 2018, the company launches a new version of the popular Tube design, the LEFF Amsterdam Cordura Watch. Featuring the same refined dial with a precisely cut ring, the timepiece adds an elegant touch to any outfit. The industrial-style design combines with the brushed surface of the 42mm 316L stainless steel case. Behind the tough mineral glass cover, the face boasts the signature extruded elements that replace the traditional hour and minute markers. Minimalist hands complete the modern design.

A perfect accompaniment to the timepiece, the new Cordura strap with a steel buckle closure balances the design. This specialized thick nylon fabric can handle just about anything. Indeed, it’s used in everything from backpacks and luggage to military clothing. Tough and incredibly durable, Cordura straps resist tears, abrasions, and scuffs to look fantastic for a long time, even if worn by those who enjoy an active lifestyle. On the back, the fabric boasts a genuine leather material that not only enhances comfort, but also reinforces the brand’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

The D42 Cordura watch will be available in various colorways. The black case version will have Gray, Green, or Sand straps, while the brass watch will come with Green or Gray wristbands. Finally, the steel case model will have a Sand or Green Cordura band. All of them feature a Japanese Miyota 2035 – 3 hand movement and a SR626SW battery.
