Les Choses – Fire Series

Founded in 2017 by Pierre Vuilmet, Les Choses has a special – and meaningful – mission. The publishing house aims to “restore the purpose and the essential qualities of any given object, project or creation” through an ideal way of creating. Making things on a mass scale using the same care and attention to detail applied to one-off projects. With the help of talented designers and skilled artisans, the company wants to produce premium quality, modern collections that explore a universal theme. And for the first line of products, Les Choses chose one element with a deep connection to human history: fire.

Designed by Yoan Claveau de Lima, the Fire Series features four braziers that combine brutalist influences and clean lines. But their reddish-brown multifaceted design truly comes to life when they’re in use. They transform into steel monoliths that provide a perfect counterpoint to the flowing movements of dancing flames. Made of corten steel, the braziers withstand rising temperatures, ensuring durability at the same time. Their surface will also develop a patina over time to gain even more character. A compact table and modular benches complete the Fire Series, providing the opportunity to create modern, distinctive as well as welcoming outdoor socializing spaces.
