We love seeing good design, natural materials and cutting-edge technology merge in furniture that looks traditionally crafted. Nanoto fits into this category perfectly. Sculptural, but demanding to be used at the same time, the Nanoto Chair is the first solid wood seating designed by the Berlin-based Läufer + Keichel industrial design studio. It has a distinctive appearance with rear legs that seemingly rise to meet the backrest.
Made using CNC milling technology, the chair features curved shapes and clean lines, as well as a smooth transition between the legs and the upper section. Blending comfort, stability and a creative design with gorgeous grain patterns, the chair looks good in any interior. The studio also launched a bar stool version of the Nonoto Chair. It comes in a darker finish, but features the same solid wood construction. Both designs engage the viewer and create focal points in modern living spaces. Photographs © Läufer + Keichel.
