The Lofe Round Coffee Table

A perfect balance between form, mass, and contrasting materials in a modern round coffee table.

Designer Julie Hong created the simple and elegant Lofe Coffee Table in a quest to bring a sense of peace and tranquility in tech-obsessed modern homes. Minimalist and stylish, the table has a purposefully heavy mass that reminds of a large rock. This design decision helps to provide a feeling of grounding oneself while using the table; it also visually anchors the piece of furniture in its place. Curved lines soften the monolithic presence, while contrasting materials give the round coffee table a distinctive character.

On top, a smooth wooden surface invites the user to linger over a cup of joe or tea. A round lid hides a convenient storage space that offers enough room for a few magazines or books and smaller items. The curved body of the Lofe Coffee Table boasts gray upholstery which complements the wooden top and legs while also bringing warmth into a modern décor. Images© Julie Hong.
