Mangas Space by Patricia Urquiola for Gan

Never before has a furniture concept dismissed the dull so instantly. Opening your senses to an array of the islands, this modular set sprinkles a room with carefree spirit. In swatches of sherbet, coral, natural, pollen the possibilities are endless with Mangas Space, a playful living arrangement mixing cushions and rugs.  The design by Patricia Urquiola for Gan keeps you close to the ground, endless combinations to reveal your mood, whether an unpredictable puzzle or a pleasantly cornered off sectional. The textures entice us to rub our palms over the patterns, the grades in the weaves varying, over time the materials trigger a relaxing game to follow the lines and reflect. Rugs link up with inverted corners, intersecting natural fibers with plush knots, every edge bound with a wide band, delicately outlined in colored thread.
