Surrounded by a cloak of green pastures in the low-density urban area of Estoril, Portugal is a home where monolithic design personifies the simplicity of its natural and artificial details. Fredrico Valsassina Architects created this house with two gardens that sequence each other in the front to harmonize together through their lack of borders. The first floor is situated with the communal areas of the kitchen, dining room, living room, entrance hall, library and guest bathroom. A floating wooden staircase leads to the upper level where residents are elated from the natural light that enters into its large open space.
