Nambu Tekki Cast Iron Pans by Nobuho Miya

Designed and forged by master craftsman Nobuho Miya, this collection of Nambu tekki cast iron pans brings time-honored culinary style to any kitchen. Miya works in his family ironware studio, Kamasada, in the Iwate prefecture of Japan. With more than forty years of experience, he practices the art of traditional Nambu techniques, and his work is widely acclaimed. His commercial production of Nambu tekki cast iron includes a skillet and three baker’s pans of varying sizes. The slender yet durable skillet has a shallow pan and long, thin handle. Weighing under 4 lb., the design is relatively lightweight, a sleek addition to one’s cooking arsenal. The versatile baker’s pans can be used for baking and also cooking in the oven or on the stovetop or grill. Being forged according to Nambu tekki, their heat retention is superb. The three sizes are sold individually or as a set, and, altogether, they nest for easy storage. Available in our store.
