The Nano1 Astronomy Camera

Meet the world’s smallest astronomy camera.

Specifically designed to capture the night sky in all its glory, the new Nano1 camera offers the perfect opportunity to take astronomy photos like a pro. It follows on the footsteps of TinyMOS’ previous ‘smallest camera’, Tiny1. Compact and lightweight, but packed with ingenious features, Nano1 becomes the ideal companion for photo shoots in the middle of nature, especially in areas with low light pollution. It comes with a patented noise reduction algorithm as well as astronomy-tuned presets for clearer and sharper images. The user can even take videos of up to 4K and 60fps.

Yet this is not only a compact camera that can help you take pro-like shots of the Milky Way. Nano1 is also smart and convenient. “It uses an augmented reality star map to guide you across the constellations, astronomy exposure preset to simplify astronomy image settings and WiFi control and file transfer to share your images through your smartphone,” says TinyMOS Founder Grey Tan.

A dual lens mount system adds another practical feature, as it allows the user to use C-mount or M12 lenses. Adapters provide an opportunity to attach Nikon F-mount or Canon EF lenses as well as telescopes. Compatible with iOS and Android, Nano1 can share the images directly on social media. Launched through Kickstarter, the (already successful) Nano1 campaign lasts until January 18, 2019. The camera comes in Black and Silver options, with several accessories also available. Packages start from $479 for the Nano1 with the 2.8mm F2.8 M12 kit lens, and backers can expect to receive their cameras starting from March 2019. Photographs© TinyMOS.
