Sneakerheads and fans of Adidas rejoice, for there’s a new silhouette in town. Which means that the wait for the next Adidas Originals design is finally over. The Present sneaker marks the second chapter in a three-part collab between the iconic brand and Daniel Arsham, co-founder of Snarkitecture. If the first sneaker took inspiration from archaeological artefacts to represent the past, Present looks ultra-modern, urban, and stylish. It boasts a monochrome palette as well as a blend of different materials and finishes.
Expertly crafted, the Present sneaker features a textured dark gray Ultra Boost sole and a leather-lined Neoprene upper. The versatile fabric allowed the designer to create eye-catching contrasts between textures and techniques. For example, the use of stamping added different volumes and finishes to the material. Smooth surfaces contrast textured areas, while various types of stitching add another elegant detail to the design. The name of the designer appears on one tongue, with the brand’s logo added on the other. Other features include shiny metallic 3-stripes and collar as well as an EVA midsole for optimal cushioning. Refined and modern, the Present sneaker will be available on December 9 at a price of $220.
