Minimalist wood shelves that feature curved edges and a modular design.

Designed by Brussels-based designer Julien Renault for furniture brand Cruso, the Notes shelving system complements its minimalist aesthetic and high-quality build with a modular design. The versatile shelves boast clean lines and curved edges to look at home on any wall and in any décor. Their adaptable design allows the user to mix-and-match the three lengths on magnetic steel mounts. Thanks to the subtle curves, rounded edges, and wood patterns, the shelving adds an elegant accent to a room. At the same time, Notes offers a convenient way to create a custom shelving system.

The three shelf sizes provide various combination options, but all of them have generous sizes. Even the smallest one can easily hold a table clock and a vase, while the largest shelf offers plenty of space for books and decorative items. Produced by Belgian manufacturer Cruso, Notes is a high-quality shelving system that will stand up to the test of time. The solid wood and steel build is durable, while the protective coating ensures easy maintenance. Flat-packed for convenience and more eco-friendly shipping, Notes is easy to install with the provided tool. Originally launched at Maison & Objet in January 2020, the Notes shelves are now available at Cruso. Prices range from around $130 for the small shelves to around $220 for the largest size for the oak option, while the walnut version costs a bit more, from around $140 to $270.
