Shiny, futuristic speakers and black-clad speakers might be seeing a new competitor in the market, especially considering the advancement of acoustics from a natural craft. NW3 Wooden Speakers is a collaborative project between Neue Werkstatt and local craftsmen, and promotes the use of naturally-sourced materials. The case features sustainably harvested pine wood, which is enhanced by an interior insulation of natural wool in order to achieve fidelity and power in sound. Components from Peerless, a Danish audio company, provide the inner workings, and the front guards are given a powder-coated finish. Not only is the sound crisp and clear, but the look of the speakers match the same level of quality and clarity as well as reinforce the salience of natural materials.
