Opper Lounge Chair By Grégoire De Lafforest

A lounge chair unlike any other, Opper features a blend of contemporary design, artistic flair and natural materials. It was designed by Grégoire De Lafforest for Galerie Gosserez, and produced in a limited edition of 12. Much like the Orb Lamp, the Opper lounge chair surprises with its unconventional aesthetic and original take on classic design.

Made of two contrasting materials, Opper creates a play on balance, textures and lines. The leather seat has an elongated shape and graceful curves. Soft and comfortable, it also features a quilted pattern inspired by the motorcycle saddles of the 1970s. The Cararra marble base brings strength and weight to balance the lightness of the upper section while also adding natural charm. Contrary to its appearance, the marble base is not a solid block but hollow. It offers the perfect storage space for pillows or a blanket. Modern design and tradition, comfort and creativity, as well as function and elegance combine in distinctive chair that creates a focal point anywhere. Photography by Jérome Galland.
