Photography and Street Art Meet in Brooklyn

View all 10 Photos

Landline is an imaginative photo series by the Brooklyn-based artist Aakash Nihalani. The subjects are hipsters in plain white tees. Seemingly punctured by geometric forms, the people in the images are visually connected to one another in an oddball-romantic way. Though the shapes may at first look like Photoshop editing, they are actually neon tape alliques. Reminiscent of comic books and pop art, the surreal portraits make up a playful collection in which photography and street art meet. Watch the project evolve on the blog EYE SCREAM SUNDAY.
