The QoWood Collection

An expertly crafted range of handmade designer furniture.

Founded by architect Juan Manuel Gomez, Madrid-based brand QoWood makes sculptural and refined handmade designer furniture that celebrates the purity of form as well as traditional woodworking and joinery techniques. The company uses solid wood to manufacture every piece by hand, selecting the right type of timber from local drying facilities to ensure the perfect texture and firmness. Detailed joinery work completes the products, along with custom, handcrafted metal accents, where needed.

The brand offers both indoor and outdoor furniture made of different types of wood, but all designed to stand the test of time. Natural oil finishes enhance the character of the wood further, accentuating the colors and textures to highlight the natural beauty of solid wood. All of these steps ensure an exquisite level of quality specific to skillfully handmade objects. Indeed, QoWood sees its manufacturing process in a creative light: “we treat our pieces as exceptional pieces of art.”

The QoWood Collection includes many gems, so we picked three designs to showcase here. Defined by their minimal aesthetic, the products easily blend into any living space. The Yoy table references the classic sawhorse, mirroring but also refining its distinctive shape. A perfect choice for a family dining room. Ultra-simple and modern, the Swiss chair is handcrafted by skilled artisans. It comes with different backrest and seat color options, and it’s also conveniently stackable. The Naked rack takes inspiration from nature with its organic geometry. Made of solid oak or walnut, it features changeable sections as well as a rusted iron bar. All three products come with traditional mortise and tenon joints, which add the perfect artisan finish to the designs. You can find out more about the QoWood collection and see other gorgeous furniture on the official website. Images courtesy of QoWood.
