Romain Sarrot’s Installation COUVRE-CHEF

Check out the new ‘do made for Lego dudes by designer Romain Sarrot. They are strutting out of the barber with a hipster shag now as blondes, brunettes, and metallics. The installation has been called COUVRE-CHEF presenting on a scale of 10:1. The 18 unique handmade pieces are grouped reflecting the “pavilion” flag labelled for the name of Third French Republic Presidents. Made of polyurethane resin, then painted, clear coated and polished otherwise the flashy helmets are gilded with gold leaves (24k) and palladium. The artist explains, “Capillary cap toys attribute comes up with a new function, it goes beyond the childish accessory status to upholster a military dimension. The uniformity of the group, the authority conveyed here question our freedom to act and express ourselves, our freewill to enlist or refuse to be part of the crowd and standardized.”
