Diving into the history books this lovely 1610 stable renovation to residence charms both the past and present in a dance about the English gardens. The Ham House Stables stand exquisite against the London backdrop. It’s been a work in progress since 1970 when first converted into two residential units. Later in 1990, a facelift by Foster + Partners introduced a steel and glass design element to the exterior creating three floors. Our most current TLC coordinator is the group at SOUP Architects Ltd who had some ideas of their own calling it The Oaks. Oak details hoist the entire vision to revive historic elements throughout by reinstating an original black smithing area, also the restoration of the grand old fireplace. A few tweaks to dated designs said goodbye to a loft and hello to high open ceilings.
