Sawyer by Jurgen Kuipers

Throwing sand in the faces of the industrial, tough-guy motorbikes, Sawyer Beachcruiser outraces the competition with its unique construction and artistic charisma.  Dutch designer Jurgen Kuipers implements a beech plywood frame for the cruiser, which features sweeping curves and an organic look far different from jaded expectations. Craftsmanship, in this case, takes front seat and drives the beachcruiser to the finish line as Kuipers offers a fully customizable, hand-built version to bike enthusiasts. A prizewinner of the International Bicycle Design Competition (IBDC), Sawyer has also evolved into a non-functional 1:1 model kit, which Kuipers hopes to develop into a complete DIY job.
