Sculptural Stool Designs By Guillaume Delvigne

Monolithic stool designs that look like works of art.

After winning a few Wallpaper Design Awards and showing his work in group exhibitions, French designer Guillaume Delvigne opened his own studio in 2011. The same year, he also had his first solo exhibition at ToolsGalerie in Paris. A larger exhibition at the same gallery followed in 2015. Named Stools4Tools, the show featured a range of creative stool designs with a monolithic shape.

The sculptural stools may look like decorative items, but they also provide comfortable seating for a modern interior. The designer used premium materials to make each limited-edition stool. These include white Carrara marble, Vert Donay marble, travertine and solid wood as well as textured metal and golden bronze. Other stools combine two materials, such as the resin stools with leather coatings or the wood, stone, and leather designs that offer a striking play on colors and textures.
