Set in the Street: Outdoor Rooms in New York City

A collaborative effort by prop stylist Gozde Eker and photographer Justin Bettman, Set in the Street creates outdoor rooms from discarded household items found on the curb. The project is based in New York, and the majority of the designs to date have been displayed on the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn, though the artists did also make a dining room in California. Each temporary installation serves as a unique space where pedestrians can interact with the art and with one another. See what people have done with the scenes by checking out the hashtag #setinthestreet on Twitter and Instagram.
