Design firm Playze has literally turned Tony’s Farm, the biggest organic food farm in Shanghai, green! The complex includes a welcome lobby, a VIP area, offices, and of course, a warehouse; what’s more is that the entire structure has been constructed from shipping containers with an eye-catching sage green finish. Unlike other shipping container repurpose projects, Tony’s Farm introduces transparency by primarily using the metal frames to create the building’s form. The stacking of containers creates opportunities for over- and underpasses, encouraging public circulation throughout the facility in an attempt to reconnect food production with the consumer.
