Ezequiel Galasso and Gianfranco De Gennaro at Skate Guitar want to play Frankenstein—and some Led Zeppelin. Granting a second life to battered and beaten skateboard decks, Skate Guitar undertakes a process which molds the leftovers of Gen-X into shreddable electric instruments. Utilizing two former decks, a complete guitar body and neck is created, fully functional as any other—and no two guitars will look the same or carry the same rail-grinding history, especially due to the wealth of skateboard types and sizes. Skate Guitar is currently fielding offers for several of these truly unique axes at their Facebook group, where you can also hear how classy the strings sound against each deck.
