The Sport Ripple Shoe by Standard Fair

Following on the footsteps of the popular Sport Camp, the new Sport Ripple from Standard Fair draws inspiration from ’70s-’80s American and German athletic footwear. The shoe features a natural leather beaded welt, a hand-shaped EVA/SBR blend midsole, and a Vibram Mini Ripple sole. The new thicker outsole build allows the user to wear the Sport Ripple in any weather and in any season. Standard Fair launched the handcrafted footwear in two versions: Pebbled Olive on March 13 and Rust on March 27, 2020.

While Pebbled Olive has a full grain Italian vegetable tanned leather upper, the Rust colorway features a Swedish vegetable tanned suede upper alongside full grain Italian leather. Both versions have Blake-stitching between the upper and the brand’s new outsole construction. The resoleable design provides an easy solution to wear the footwear for years while the premium quality materials ensure that the shoe will look fantastic. Plus, the vegetable tanning method guarantees that the leather with develop a beautiful patina and that each upper is one-of-a-kind.

Proudly made in Maine, USA, the Sport Ripple features a range of top quality materials. Apart from Italian leather sourced from the Tempesti Tannery, the shoe also features leather lining from Horween Leather Co. Suede footbed lining, leather laces, and removable foam insoles complete the design. Like Sport Camp, Sport Ripple comes with a set of travel bags and a tin of Standard Fair Leather Cream.
