Tripod Stool by Eunjin Jung

Tripod is a three-legged stool that is more than its name lets on, and is more than meets the eye. Designed by Eunjin Jung in collaboration for the Hongik University Junior Exhibition, the seat dispels a conventional notion of a uniform and radially symmetric load distribution and structure. Instead, the wooden stool features a pair of legs that are angled and lock together with a third hollowed fin to support a flat, pentagonal seat. The filleted corners of the forms and the soft bevel of the seat contribute an organic flow to the character of the charming piece.
