Upon first step into GMG House, the eyes are drawn to vivid, nearly-fluorescent bursts of color. Pedro Gadanho, the designer of this funhouse, uses color to highlight certain elements, treating the white canvas of the house as a medium for an artistic rendition of the interiors. A light cyan staircase sidles up against a bright yellow wall, and a fire engine red cutout forms a window seat on the second floor of the house. Pink and lemongrass cabinets are carved as nuanced shapes, and each of these lacquered elements in the Portuguese residence effuse a natural glow under any artificial or natural light.
