Built by Deus Ex Machina’s Michael Woolaway, this Triumph T140 cafe racer is gorgeous enough to become a focal point inside his new San Diego home. Although designed with an elegant and eye-catching look, the bike also comes with premium parts and cool features that make it perfect for taking on the road in style. The 750cc 1968 Triumph T140 boasts a handmade aluminum tank which takes inspiration from 1960s Japanese Grand Prix racers. To create the wet mirror effect, Woolaway used a black candy paint over black basecoat. 17″ Bridgestone BT45s tires mounted on the front as well as on the rear wheel enhance the slim vintage feel of the bike.
The custom stainless steel exhaust features a ceramic coating finish in matte black, while the Cone Engineering megaphone and the vintage British parallel twin give this gem a true ‘bad boy’ sound. In terms of tech specs, the Triumph T140 custom impresses with Megacycle cams and lighter lifters, chromoly push rods, handmade intake runners, beveled and drilled cam gears, and 7mm Kibblewhite valves.
