Tube by Zilvinas Kempinas

View all 8 Photos

Zilvinas Kempinas wipes the cobwebs away of this old age technology and uses VHS tapes to create a masterpiece of visual illusion. “Tube” is an installation utilizing the magnetic tape of VHS. It was made in the Atelier Calder of Sache, France and was then moved to the Lithuanian pavilion in Venice back in 2009. This rescuer of the video tape provides a surreal optical perception to the viewer creating an array of different visual effects of the surrounding architectural landscape.
