An award-winning design, the ingenious Turntable is a record player that doubles as a side table.
Inspired by the analog charm of vinyl, Amunì Studio designed Turntable as a record player that also works as a side table. The ingenious design was introduced at the 2022 Toronto Interior Design Show, where it promptly won the Best Product Award of the entire event as well as the People’s Choice Award. Part statement furniture, part quality vinyl player, this turntable is the perfect music companion for design lovers who appreciate the analog side of life.
Designed as a freestanding unit, Turntable boasts a tripod-style base that provides optimal stability while giving a nod to classic side tables. At the same time, the three legs make the record player look more eye-catching. The cylindrical top houses the 12” vinyl player and the built-in speaker underneath as well as an integrated battery. As a result, this compact record player is completely cordless, allowing users to easily move it from one room to another. An acrylic top provides a perfect view of the spinning record while protecting the player from dust. The flat surface offers an easy way to use Turntable as a side table for light objects.
To produce the record player, Amunì Studio collaborated with local manufacturers in the Toronto area. Apart from a wood base, Turntable features a durable molded plastic box that protects the audio components, and a transparent acrylic top.
