Voie Lights By Bloc Studios

An exploration of contrasts and a celebration of natural beauty, Voie Lights propose a sculptural take on a practical object. This distinctive collection comes from Bloc Studios. Founded in 2014, the brand aims to transform “raw, natural stones into thoughtful everyday objects while preserving the inherent qualities of the marble.”

Boasting a striking combination of materials, the lamps are equal parts modern artworks and functional décor pieces. The curved neon shapes highlight the features of the marble, placing the beauty of nature in the spotlight. “The final shape and form of each project is really defined by the effect I want to expose or what material properties demand [to] be highlighted,” explains designer Sabine Marcelis. While intercepting the light and encasing it, the marble also anchors and adds solidity to the more delicate neon shapes. The collection includes two table lamps and one wall lamp. They feature either white Carrara marble or green onyx, with two neon variations available. Photography© Pim Top.
