Designed by London’s Industrial Facility for the Italian brand NAVA Design, the Bottle Watch is a wristwatch with a face that resembles the bottom of a glass bottle. Turn over an empty bottle of beer or old-fashioned soda to see that there are usually sixty grooves cut into the base. These notches prevent suction between the glass and the table. On a watch, however, they’re mostly decorative; the notches do give the wearer a sense of the time, but, primarily, they make the bezel look more elegant. Monochrome except for the white three-hand movement, the synthetic watch comes in gray, brown, green, and blue, echoing the traditional colors of glass.
