A beautifully designed high-top sneaker enhanced with a miniature sculpture.

New York-based sneaker brand Koio makes footwear that combines versatile design with both high-quality craftsmanship and premium materials. For one of their latest designs, they have partnered with artist Bradley Duncan. Influenced by Californian landscapes as well as Shaker design principles, the artist creates artworks that marry organic materials with geometric shapes. He uses a range of materials in his work, from wood and minerals to ceramic and copper, sculpting, painting, and finally transforming them into beautiful sculptures and decorative objects. The limited-edition Koio X Bradley Duncan sneaker features a miniature version of the artist’s Waveform sculptures paired with the brand’s Primo silhouette.

The high-top sneaker blends a vegetable tanned, Italian pebble-grain leather upper with custom leather laces and a clear Margom outsole. Carved Waveform sculptures adorn the laces, adding an architectural accent to the design. The sneaker also features soft Italian calf leather lining, hand-painted edges, and a removable insole. Pared-down and minimalist, the Primo silhouette perfectly complements the triangle shapes of the Waveform series. Each pair of the Koio X Bradley Duncan Primo sneaker is carefully made by hand in the Marche region, Italy. You can find this limited-edition series on the Koio website, at a price of $348.
