Accidentally Wes Anderson

The beloved Instagram account now comes in a book format.

Created in 2017 by Wally Koval, the @AccidentallyWesAnderson Instagram handle delighted the world with photos of buildings, landscapes, interiors, and things that mirrored the beloved filmmaker’s distinctive aesthetic. The account soon reached 1 million users. Now, Wally Koval has put together a book that features some of the most magical images in Wes Anderson’s style. Named Accidentally Wes Anderson, the hardcover is authorized by the filmmaker and published by NYC-based Voracious Books. The book features over 200 idiosyncratic photos from all over the world. These visually striking but real places mirror Anderson’s quirky, pastel-colored universe. Each image also features an accompanying story. Captured on every continent, the images take the viewer on a magical trip to historical buildings and whimsical landmarks as well as hidden gems.

Browsing through the pages will probably make many travelers’ wanderlust grow stronger. Available for pre-order, the Accidentally Wes Anderson book comes out on October 20, 2020. Safe to say, it’s the ultimate gift for Wes Anderson fans as well as for those who love his quirky style or simply appreciate his masterful use of color. Photographs© Wally Koval, Voracious Books.
