Created by three talented designers, this exclusive collection is effortlessly cool.

Part of an exclusive adidas MakerLab project, these limited edition sneakers are more special than your usual athletic footwear. Even by adidas’ standards. To make these distinctive interpretations of the adidas Campus 80s series, the brand invited three designers to offer their own take on the design. And the result? Three cool sneakers that are as creative as they are exceptional.

Helen Kirkum, Alex Nash, and Shun Hirose are the designers that took part in this MakerLab project. They traveled to Germany to spend 10 days at the adidas headquarters, learning more about the brand’s sneakers. Then, they flew out to Vietnam, where they had access to one of the company’s manufacturing factories. After this intensive learning experience, the three designers had the opportunity to make the most of adidas’ resources to create their own Campus 80s version. Helen Kirkum’s design highlights both the craft and creativity behind the sneakers with an ingenious take on the iconic three stripes. For this project, Alex Nash infused his sneakers with a playful spirit as well as vibrant colors. Asymmetric, bold yet also distinctly imaginative, Shun Hirose’s design explores the artistry of perfect imperfection.

adidas has partnered with StockX to bring the concepts to life. This means that sneakerheads have opportunity to upgrade their collection with a truly special design. Each sneaker comes in a run of only 333 pairs, sold at auction via StockX IPO on October 15th, 2019. Apart from this collection, adidas has also launched a 30-minute documentary about the project.
