Alfredo Wooden Bicycles

Beautifully crafted wooden bikes that celebrate an iconic cyclist.

Established in 2017 by Nicolò Cellina and Michele De Benedictis, Alfredo Wooden Bicycles pays homage to Alfredo Binda. Based in Cittiglio, the birthplace of the iconic Italian cyclist, the company makes wood bicycles that not only blend elegance and function but also celebrate artisan tradition and the history of Italian competitive cycling. The bikes feature lightweight wooden frames and are entirely handmade without any modern CNC machinery. Apart from their premium quality build, the bikes’ wooden frames soften vibrations while riding; the wood absorbs shocks and thus makes cycling more comfortable.

The frames also feature transparent waterproof coatings to resist the elements and stand up to the test of time. Furthermore, the matte finish protects the wood from scratches. Like a beautifully crafted wooden piece of furniture that becomes an heirloom, the Alfredo wooden bikes last a lifetime. With proper care, they can be handed down to the next generation.

Designed and produced in Cittiglio, every Alfredo bicycle features handmade wood frames as well as finishes and adhesives typically used in the nautical industry. The company uses only top quality materials in a small-scale production line that is both eco-friendly and sustainable. Alfredo bikes come in three configurations: Comfort, Gran Turismo, and Performance, with specs and prices available by request. However, customers can also choose the type of wood, order the frame only, or select custom components for their build. Photographs© Alfredo Wooden Bicycles.
