The Bose Audio Augmented Reality Frames Sunglasses

The first sunglasses in the world that feature an audio augmented reality platform.

Leading audio brand Bose introduced its latest innovation, the revolutionary Bose Frames. At first glance, the Frames look like stylish sunglasses that can instantly add a cool accent to an outfit. However, a cutting-edge build and a range of ingenious features put the eyewear in a league of its own. The design blends the UV protection of high-quality sunglasses and the performance of wireless headphones with the first audio augmented reality platform in the world.

Elegant and high-tech, Bose Frames feature a proprietary open-ear design and the brand’s smallest and most lightweight audio system. Set inside the arms instead of an earbud, the microphones produce a premium quality as well as discreet sound. Touch and voice controls offer an easy way to access music or virtual assistants, and take or make calls in complete privacy.

The sunglasses are also Bose AR compatible. This means that they offer access to an industry’s first: the new Bose audio augmented reality platform for an enhanced listening experience. A custom app provides access to more features, with future software updates designed to expand the functionality of Bose Frames further. The battery lasts for up to 12 hours on standby and around 3.5 hours for playback at average listening levels. The user can also fully recharge the battery in under two hours.

Bose Frames come in two styles: Alto and Rondo. The former features a larger, square shape, while the latter has a round and smaller frame design. Both styles have a stylish – and versatile – matte black finish. The sunglasses will be available in the US from January 2019 for $199 at Bose stores and online.
