Born in Portugal, André Teoman spent his childhood living in both Viana do Castelo and Istanbul. The experience of studying design alongside immersing himself in the world of puppetry and theater shaped the designer’s creative approach while igniting a love of fantasy and surrealism. In 2015, he founded his own studio. The designer showcases creative elements through playful designs that are as humorous as they are though-provoking. André Teoman’s work features a whimsy world built using traditional craftsmanship and artisanal skills. Humor and intriguing themes combine to create an emotional bond with the user/viewer. The designer has exhibited his work at Maison et Objet, Portuguese Design Bienale, Salone del Mobile, and Stockholm Design Fair. Awards and mentions include European Product Design Award Honorable Mentions and several A' Design Awards.
