Based in Bolzano, Italy, the Bergmeisterwolf studio was founded by architects Gerd Bergmeister and Michaela Wolf. Both have studied architecture at the Leopold Franzens Universität in Innsbruck. Bergmeister has also completed studies at IUAV in Venice, while Wolf has studied architecture in London and at Politecnico di Milano. Contemporary and refined, the projects completed by the Bergmeisterwolf practice often feature a minimalist aesthetic that highlights the quality and character of natural materials, with creative geometric accents also enhancing the designs. The studio’s work has been published in numerous national and international magazines, and has received prestigious awards and mentions. The two architects divide their time between the studio, holding lectures at universities, and judging architectural competitions.
