The Dietrich | Untertrifaller Architects studio was founded in 1994 as a natural extension of a collaboration that started in 1986 between Helmut Dietrich and Much Untertrifaller. Rejecting experimentation and sensationalist architecture, the practice maintains a simple and pragmatic approach to design, with sustainability and an economical use of materials acting as crucial factors in every construction project. Creativity and diversity are highly valued at Dietrich | Untertrifaller Architects, which explains the refusal of specialization and the eclectic projects completed by the studio. Public and cultural buildings make up the main part of the studio's portfolio; other works include residential projects as well as interior and furniture design. The practice has currently over 50 talented employees working in four offices in Austria, Switzerland, and France, collaborating with local partners on various projects.
