Barcelona, Spain
Architects Tomeu Ramis, Aixa del Rey, and Bárbara Vich established Flexo Arquitectura in 2002. Since 2017, Tomeu Ramis and Aixa del Rey have run the studio. Based in Barcelona, the architecture firm completes various types of projects in the city and around Spain. The studio’s work includes residential and commercial architecture as well as exhibition space design. While keeping a focus on the local cultural context, Flexo Arquitectura uses conceptual and narrative resources along with individual technical and material constraints to develop creative strategies for each project. The studio’s work has received many awards, including several Mallorca Architecture Awards. Flexo Arquitectura has also exhibited work in the Spanish Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, including in 2016 when Spain received the Golden Lion award.
