Product Design
Glasgow-based studio Instrmnt was founded in 2014 by Pete Sunderland and Ross Baynham. The multidisciplinary design studio creates products that combine minimalism and simplicity with function and high-quality materials. The brand’s first product perfectly displays the studio’s penchant for minimal, utilitarian, and meaningful design. The Instrmnt 01 watch, which allows the user to build the timepiece with the provided tools, quickly put Instrmnt on the map, gaining international acclaim. Other products designed by the studio include a city bike and a day bed. The Instrmnt watches are available online and in the studio’s store in Glasgow, as well as around the world at selected retailers. Instrmnt’s work has been exhibited at the London Design Festival and at the Paris & New York Fashion Week, among others.
