The Creative Sculptures Of Massimiliano Pelletti
Pietrasanta, Italy
Art
Artist Massimiliano Pelletti was born in 1975 in Pietrasanta, Italy. He learned about marble and traditional craftsmanship while observing his grandfather as a child in the family workshop, which ignited his passion for the material and its potential. Peletti’s artworks combine classic techniques with modern creativity. On one side, they remind of antique sculptures, while on the other, they bring a fresh and distinctive style into the world of contemporary art. Favoring marble as a main base for his artworks, Massimiliano Pelletti enhances the natural material with a range of natural materials. These include white onyx, bronze, or quartz geodes, used in creative ways. The artist’s work has been exhibited around the world, including at the 54th Venice Biennale. He continues to live and work in Pietrasanta.
