Hiking boots for the harshest weather conditions.

Following on the footsteps of the previous Danner fall range which optimized comfort and performance while keeping the brand’s style intact, the new Weatherized Collection provides the ultimate hiking footwear solution for cold weather. For the FW18 season, Danner takes the boots’ protection against the elements to a whole new level.

The new Raptor 650 leads the pack. It draws inspiration from winter hiking and living in harsh conditions in small mountain towns. As a result, the boot comes with an impressive range of features to ensure superior insulation, performance, and warmth. Even during the harshest winter months. “Danner hiking boots are already known to perform exceptionally well in winter conditions, but the new Weatherized Collection introduces best-in-class PrimaLoft® insulation for colder temps,” says Will Pennartz, Senior Marketing Manager for Danner. “With the new Raptor 650 in particular, we wanted to add a bit more style to create one truly weatherproof, fully functional, go-to boot for winter conditions,” he adds.

While Raptor 650 shares a platform with the Explorer 650 hiking boot, it also features superior 400G PrimaLoft® insulation. Fleece-lined uppers combine durable wool and full-grain leather. The Danner® Dry waterproof protection ensures that feet remain dry and warm. Apart from providing more comfort, the hiking boot also comes with a Vibram® SPE midsole, which is two times more resilient than EVA midsoles. Finally, the Vibram® Escape outsole with Megagrip technology offers great traction even on wet or icy surfaces. The $240 Raptor 650 is available in both men and women versions, in two colors. Both boast a quilted upper, but the women’s model also features a faux fur trim on the collar.

The Weatherized Collection also includes an upgraded version of the award-winning Mountain 600 boot. While keeping the Vibram® Fuga outsole with Megagrip and the Vibram® SPE midsole, the hiking boot will also feature a 200G PrimaLoft® insulated upper for extra warmth. Waterproof protection and soft fleece lining complete the design. Available in two colors for men and one color for women, the Mountain 600 Insulated will retail for $220.
