Meet Audi’s first-ever all-electric car.

Revealed in September 2018, the new Audi e-tron marks an important milestone for the leading automotive giant. This is the first all-electric car from the company, and it impresses both with its good-looks and range of features. Designed with a streamlined silhouette, the Audi electric SUV looks ready to glide through city streets. The elegantly sculpted lines maximize style and performance. Apart from smooth panels, the car also features a minimal amount of grooves that direct airflow. Virtual exterior mirrors enhance aerodynamic efficiency further. They also mark a first-ever appearance in a production model. While the octagonal grille has a familiar look that links the car to the company’s other SUV’s, the bespoke light signature puts it in its own league.

Powered by two electric motors, the Audi electric SUV is CO2 neutral as well as almost silent. The motors produce up to 300kW of power, enhanced by the quattro all-wheel-drive. Put in perspective, this full-sized Audi electric SUV can go from 0 to 62mph in under 6 seconds. An ingenious system that recovers energy while the car decelerates ensures that Audi e-tron has a range of around 250 miles. The battery fully charges in 8.5 hours with a standard charger, but public fast-charging points can reduce the time to around 50 minutes.

Inside the cabin, modern technology blends with elegant design and premium materials. Spacious and comfortable, the interior features a sculpted dashboard with voltage lighting, touch-screens with haptic feedback, and voice-command controls. This Audi electric SUV also offers great connectivity. The driver can use the in-car MMI system or the MyAudi app to plan shorter or longer trips. The e-tron route planner displays charging stations and estimated charging times. It also uses traffic data to calculate the arrival time. Wile the car is available to order only in late 2018, Audi offers customers the chance to secure a priority order through their official website. Photographs© Audi.
