Onnis Luque (b. 1976, Mexico City) is a Mexican architectural photographer trained as an architect at UNAM, after initial studies in industrial design at Universidad Iberoamericana. He founded his studio in 2009. His work treats photography as both documentation and inquiry—using the camera to study how architecture intersects with urban processes, policy, and everyday use.
Book projects include USF/DF: Tácticas de apropiación (2014), a multi-year study of the Unidad Santa Fe housing complex, and Undercover (The Velvet Cell, 2021), which examines Mexico City’s post-earthquake building culture. His research has been supported by the Graham Foundation (2019); he is a member of Mexico’s Sistema Nacional de Creadores (2016) and founded Arquitectura Vista, a platform for workshops and critical discussion around architectural imagery.
