The Dvojka Wine Bar

A creative wine bar that features an all white interior design with punk, industrial, and artistic cues.

Designed by Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus, the Dvojka Wine Bar looks unlike any bar you’ve ever seen. That’s probably because apart from their distinctive style and all white interior design aesthetic, the creative designers have drawn inspiration from an unlikely source: an old, scruffy iPhone. The project is also close to their hearts. The owner, art gallery owner Richard Preisler, is not only a frequent client, but also their very first client. The Dvojka Wine Bar project celebrates a ten-year friendship while also providing locals and Prague visitors the best excuse to have a good conversation over a glass of good wine.

Located in Letná, Prague, the wine bar welcomes customers in a compact but cozy space. The intimate interior encourages customers to relax and feel at home. The contemporary all white interior design references the owner’s love of art. Punk and vintage cues combine with an artistic vibe. Bright white walls and furniture complement the Pollock-style concrete flooring. Reclaimed stools and workbenches with an immaculate white paint finish offer comfortable seating spaces. At the same time, they also add an industrial accent to the interior. The all-white palette creates a soft play of light and shadow, while a neon lamp on the wall glows with a pinkish red hue, referencing red wine.
