Instrmnt’s A-Series Clock

Minimalism meets industrial style in a versatile clock design.

Glasgow-based multi-disciplinary design studio Instrmnt made a triumphant debut a few years ago. Elegant and modern, the acclaimed Instrmnt 01 wristwatch brought a fresh twist to the watch industry. It featured a self-assembly design to create a special link between the user and product. A collection of minimal watches followed, along with a gorgeous bike and a mid-century modern-inspired daybed. Now, Instrmnt expands its collection yet again with a clock that blends the studio’s preferred industrial aesthetic with function and premium quality components. The A-Series Clock has an understated design to look great anywhere. At the same time, it doubles as a desk or as a large minimal wall clock, depending on the user’s needs.

The removable stainless steel stand allows the user to place the A-Series Clock on a desk or a side table, while the rear bracket offers an easy solution to hang the timepiece on a wall. Spun-formed by hand from aluminum, the clocks come with the Instrmnt ‘00’ dial typeset in Helvetica Neue Regular. The finish options include anodized silver and rose gold. Made in the UK, the desk and large minimal wall clock also features a specialist, high-quality German-made movement. Each clock is carefully assembled in the studio’s new workshop in Glasgow. Thus, the series gives a nod to the Scottish city’s industrial heritage.
