The Itay Noy Time Quarters Watch

A vibrant watch designed with a revolving disc and color accents.

Israeli independent watchmaker Itay Noy has been designing and making limited-edition timepieces since 2000. He launches one collection each year, and makes only around 150 handcrafted watches. With each line, the watchmaker aims to capture a new philosophical interpretation of the passage of time. Apart from their imaginative, original designs, these timepieces also feature in-house made complications and modules. Every collection showcases Itay Noy’s creative flair, and the new Time Quarters series is no exception. The watch boasts an imaginative design with the dial divided into four quarters, each with 12 white dots that represent the hours. Following the same theme, each quarter has a window that represents a quarter of the section.

A rotating disc indicates the current hour as the color accent passes through the window before moving into the next quadrant. With the passage of time, the windows gradually appear and then disappear, showing the time in a creative new way. However, the Time Quarters watch also has an analog clock at the center of the dial. The timepieces come with a 44mm stainless steel case with a brushed finish and a 4 o’clock crown. Both the front and the back of the case feature a sapphire crystal. Inside the case, there’s a Caliber IN.SP mechanical movement with manual winding, a power reserve of 42 hours, and 20 jewels. The Itay Noy Time Quarters watch comes in five versions; apart from the black dial options with red, yellow, blue, or green accents, Itay Noy has also designed a multi-color version with each quadrant in a different color. Made in an ultra-limited edition of only 24 pieces each, the Time Quarters watches come either with a handmade leather strap or a stainless steel mesh bracelet. Photographs© Itay Noy.
