The 2020 Land Rover Defender

The beloved Defender returns in 2020.

Launched in the ‘80s, the Land Rover Defender became a huge hit from the beginning. In 2016, the company broke the hearts of many automotive fans when it announced the end of the Defender era. Now, Land Rover has decided to reconsider that decision, as the beloved model will make a triumphant comeback in 2020. The recently announced Land Rover Defender 2020 brings back the popular boxy shape of the original, with an upgraded silhouette and a range of cutting-edge features. While the details remain firmly under wraps, the company has offered some hints about their latest SUV.

Apart from the expected off-road capabilities and rugged build, the Land Rover Defender 2020 will also feature state-of-the-art technology. The company has claimed that it will withstand extreme temperatures of -40 and up to 120 degrees. Which means that this Defender will be able to take on any (off-)roads, even at altitudes above 13,000 feet, in style. Land Rover fans will have to wait to find out more details about the new Defender. The company has announced that the vehicle will make its debut in 2020 in the US. Until then, fans should watch out for the car’s big reveal, expected at one of this year’s auto shows.
