Le Régulateur Louis Erard x atelier oï Watch

A limited-edition watch that features an imaginative dial inspired by sundials.

Following two collaborations with Alain Silberstein and Vianney Halter, Swiss watch manufacturer Louis Erard partnered with architecture and design practice oï to create another special timepiece using the company’s regulator watch. The studio based the design on a simple concept: “to radiate from the center outwards.” Inspired by sundials, the dial boasts engraved asymmetric rays that create a dynamic play between light and shadow. While these engraved lines represent the concept of space, the blue hands bring the dimension of time to the design.

The team kept the dial as minimal as possible; no letters, numbers, or logos break up the rhythm of the rays and the movement of the three hands. Imaginative and modern, the creative dial also changes the way the wearer reads the time. The minute circle at the edge of the dial features pronounced lines at every five minutes as well as the sixty-minute mark.

Le Régulateur Louis Erard x atelier oï watch features a 42mm stainless steel case with an open back. Through the sapphire crystal window, the user can take a glimpse at the automatic Sellita SW266-1 caliber movement. The caseback also boasts an engraved Louis Erard symbol and the timepiece’s unique number in the series. A gray calf nubuck leather strap with a polished stainless steel buckle completes the design.
